The Digital Humanities are transforming how we create, sustain, and perceive libraries and archives. DH methods and methodologies foster new levels of access to materials traditionally accessible to highly specialized researchers. The digital humanities also encourage the creation of new types of archives that illuminate areas of research not contained in traditional archives, from a gif library on tumblr to Adeline Koh’s digital archive, “Chinese Englishmen.”
This timeline presents digital archives and library projects launched since January, 2013. The list was compiled collaboratively by Mary Savig, Julia Tomasini, and Josh Westgard.
